(Jerry) Gerold Dwayne Ramsey Sr. passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the age of 60.

He was preceded in death by his father Gerald, brother Charley, sister Claudia, granddaughter Ashley, and great-grandson Tucker.

Jerry (as he was best known) was an active member of the LDS church and spent his life in service to others. He was a hard worker and did not understand the meaning of giving up. He loved to laugh and play dice and did so as often as possible. Jerry loved children and was called Grandpa Ramsey by many. He will be remembered for his service, dedication, love of music and his love for his family.

Jerry is survived by his wife Nora; children- Becky Brown, Beth Tafoya, Charlsye Bell and Jerry Ramsey; mother, Alicia Ramsey; siblings, Albert Ramsey, Marie Gawith, Linda Arndt, Cheryl Eckert, Howard Ramsey, Hellen Jimenez and Ann Kriesal; grandchildren- Amanda Morris, Ashton Tafoya, T.J. Viehweger, Aaron Gallegos, Mercedes Bell, Iesha Tafoya, Isaac Tafoya, Matthew Bell, Adam Ramsey, Isaac Gallegos, Mason Ramsey, Conner Gallegos, Mariah Bell, Shaelyn Ramsey, Landon Bell, Austyn Ramsey, Ryder Brown, Lockland Bell, Nathan Ramsey and Jade Ramsey and Great-Grandchildren, Hagen Wirth, Draven Viehweger, Oaklee Lishell Morris and Bryleigh Morris.

Funeral services are Saturday, March 23 at 1 p.m. in the Second Ward LDS Church in Montpelier. A viewing will be held Friday night March 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Matthews Mortuary, 702 Clay Street, Montpelier and prior to the services on Saturday from noon to 12:45 p.m. at the Second Ward LDS Church in Montpelier. Internment will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
