Robert A. McCracken, 74, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at Manor Care Dallastown. He was the husband of Rita McCracken of Long Island, NY. He was born June 10, 1931, in New York, NY, to the late Harry and Hazel (Bogart) McCracken. Robert attended high school in Rockaway Beach, NY, and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Robert was a retired laborer, working for various companies. He is survived by two sons, Robert "Andy" McCracken of Rockaway Beach, NY, and Jimmy McCracken of TN; four daughters, Doreen Raftery of Rockaway Beach, NY, Cathy Farraday of Long Island, NY, Rita Rubin of New York, NY, and Ingrid McCracken Rivera of York; one sister, Lillian Costa of CA; one brother, John McCracken of TN; ten grandchildren; three greatgrand children; and several nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa McCracken. Memorial service Monday, June 20, 2005, at John H. Danner Funeral Home, York, Rev. John Oldfield officiating.
