Pryor was personal secretary to Gov. John Motley Morehead. Pryor served one term in The House of Representatives at Raleigh, N.C.

His son, Pryor III, was a merchant in Rockingham County, N.C. on the 1860 Census.

This man buried here was PRYOR S. REYNOLDS, Junior, who had a wife named Bettie, (Elizabeth C. Jones) and children, Iris, Inez and Robert J. REYNOLDS.

I do not understand or have a clue why his tombstone says he is Pryor Reynolds, SR. ????????????????????
