Betty Louise Rawdon was born on Apr. 22, 1928, in Mansfield, TX to the late Hubert F. Rawdon, Sr. and Lillie Moreland Rawdon. She attended school in Mansfield and Grapevine. She married John William Moreland and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1988, she later married Ronald D. "Ron" Whitecotton and he preceded her in death on May 16, 2009. Mrs. Whitecotton was an avid ham radio operator, W5PUP, and was a member of the Carthage Ham Radio Club. She moved to Gary in 1986, from Newark, TX near Ft. Worth and she was of the Church of Christ faith. Mrs. Whitecotton was also preceded in death by one brother, Hubert F. Rawdon, Jr.

Mrs. Whitecotton is survived by two sons; one brother; a sister-in-law; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren and one on the way.
