This from Nancy Rudland: Captain John Harmon was given a land grant in upstate New York for his military service during the Revolutionary War. He and his family were living in Caughnawaga, Montgomery, New York, in the 1790 census. By the 1800 census, his son John, had taken over as head of the family. It is most likely that Captain John Harmon died during this time period. It is much more likely that he is buried close by the family. Death date and place is an estimate from above info.
