Mr. Allen died of lobar Pneumonia although he had been in poor health for three years. Mrs. Allen is now confined to her bed, following a stroke of paralysis.
William Allen was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ethan Allen and was born in Ohio, March 24, 1858. he came with his parents to Armada and after the death of his first wife, married Mrs. Anna England of Armada, where they resided until a few years ago, when they moved to Ortonville where Mrs. Allen still lives.
He is survived by a widow, a step-son, Carson England, of Ortonville, a sister Mrs. Ida Farley of Detroit, and the following half brothers and sisters; Don and Ezra Torrey and Mrs. Susie Mills, of Armada, Mrs. Grace Clyde, of Cincinnati; John Torrey of Nashville, Tenn.; and Morton Torrey of Norwich, N. Y.
Burial was in Willow Grove cemetery.
