Helen M. Manik--On July 10th, 2013, Helen M. Manik (nee Arthur) of Baltimore, Maryland passed away. Devoted wife of the late Joseph "Dutch" Manik, loving mother of Joellen DeBoy and husband David, J. Kevin Manik and wife Jeanne Sandvick, Linda Lee and husband Richard, Lisa Neumann and John Neumann. Loving Nana to Alison Harig, Blake Wigley and wife Michelle, Brett Wigley, Eric, David and Stephen Manik, Kelsey Patten, Connor, Kevin, Cameron and Keagan Neumann. Dear sister to Anna Von Paris and Regina Gardner and sisters-in-law Irene Arthur and Theresa Parr. Helen is predeceased by her parents Anna and Austin Arthur of Baltimore, her brothers Austin, Jack and Joseph Arthur and her sisters Eileen Arthur and Catherine (Murph) Jones. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and friends.
She enjoyed working at the world famous Haussner's Restaurant on Eastern Avenue in the 1950's and returned in the 1970's and remained there until the restaurant sadly closed. Helen was an active parishioner at St. Mathews RC Church and was part of the Women's Sodality. She was also a valued member of the Women's Auxiliary of Good Samaritan Hospital. Helen enjoyed her Red Hat group and was a voracious reader of fiction. Helen's home was the focal point of the family, where every Sunday she set out a bounty of her home cooked dishes, and fabulous homemade cakes and desserts.

The family will celebrate Helen's life at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc 1050 York Road (beltway exit 26),on Sunday 1-3PM and 6-8PM, and Monday 5-8PM.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Matthew Catholic Church, on Tuesday due notice of time. Internment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Matthew Church 5401 Loch Raven Blvd. Baltimore, MD. 21239.
