DANNEMORA, N.Y. - Fred A. Andros, 63, a longtime area resident, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002 in Dannemora, N.Y. Mr. Andros was the superintendent of the Town of Poughkeepsie Water Department for 33 years. He served in the United State Air Force from 1957 to 1959. Born April 23, 1939 in Rhinebeck, he was the son of the late Fred A. Andros Sr. and Marion Scofield Andros Williams. He graduated from F.D. Roosevelt High School, Hyde Park. Survivors include two daughters, Eva Young and her husband, Marc of Poughkeepsie; Kimberly Drop and her husband, David of Poughkeepsie; two sons, Anthony Andros and his wife, Lori of Poughkeepsie; Jeffrey Andros of Poughkeepsie; four grandchildren, Katlin and Cassidy Drop, Anthony Andros Jr. and Ashley; a sister, Jacqueline Homko of Poughkeepsie; a sister, Miriam Simons of Poughkeepsie; a brother, Jonathan Andros of LaGrangeville; a sister, Marliza Coluccio of Boca Raton, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m., Monday, Dec. 2 at Sweets Funeral Home Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Regina Coeli Church, Rte. 9, Hyde Park. Father Michael Palazzo will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot at St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Reade Pl., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 or the Hospice Foundation Inc., 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
