Born in Milwaukee, Wis to Martin & Lillian Lawson Stearns. She married William L. Kerby at Chicago, May 16, 1941. He died Peoria, Il, April 19, 1963. She was a charter member of Peoria Progress Chapter, American Business Women. Surviving is one brother, Martin Stearns of Chicago. Died in Peoria where she had worked as the secretary of Peoria Floor and Wall Tile Co, from 1948 until she retired in 1963. Peoria Journal Star
