MRS. ORVAL SMITH
VIROQUA, Wis. (Special)--Mrs. Orval Smith, 67, lifelong Viroqua area resident, died Saturday evening in a Viroqua hospital after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the Viroqua Methodist Church, the Rev. C. D. James officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Pole Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday afternoon Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Jacobsen and Vance Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith was the former Bessie Gosling. She is survived by her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Haynes of Readstown; Mrs. William Juno and Mrs. Genevieve Phalin, both of Viroqua, Mrs. Allen Rodgers, La Forge, and Mrs. Herman Hanson, Beloit; four sons, Ray, Lake Geneva; Roy and Keith, both of Readstown, and Erling of Viroqua; 37 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Daisy Semington, Long Beach, Calif.
