Mary, their daughter was born January 11, 1884 and died in July of 1965. December 11, 1907 she was married to Ula A. Saunders. He was born Sept. 12, 1853 and died in 1967. They had one daughter, Virginia Lou, who married Therman Henderson. She was born December 3, 1908 and died in November of 1958.
The second of Malissa [Lou was Jonas' wife] and Jonas Bass' [sons] was Richard Dayton Bass, born February 29, 1892 and died April 7, 1952. On March 28, 1913 he was married to Vivian Hill (born August 2, 1894). To this union three children were born, William Dayton Bass, Richard Carr Bass, and Vivian Hill (Poppy) Bass. William Dayton was born October 10, 1914 and was a cotton merchant in McKinney. He married Fay Powell of Lone Oak in 1938.
Richard Carr Bass was born April 25, 1917 and was married to Elizabeth Rhea Vaughan of Russellville, Alabama in 1947. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University and has a medical degree from A. and M. He was a veterinarian. He retired from the U. S. Air Corp as a Lt. Col.
Vivian Hill (Poppy) was born November 27, 1919. She is a graduate of TCU and married Dr. Charles McKissick in 1939. He too is a graduate of TCU, an Optometrist and served as a Lt. in the Second World War.
