Suggested edit: VERGENNES. Herrick Stevens, one of the most prominent residents of this city, died this morning of heart disease, aged 74 years. He was president of the Vergennes National bank and an extensive owner of real estate in this town and in Chicago. Four daughters survive him, Mrs. C. L. Hammond of Chicago, Mrs. Dr. H. J. Parker of New York and Miss Jennie B. Stevens and Miss Herrika Stevens. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
