Mary M. Zimniewicz nee Portman passed away Friday after a long and blessed life. Beloved wife of Tom for 62 years. Mother of Jamie (friend Dorothy), Jody (John) Kopsky, Marianne (Rick) Roto and Megan (Jame) Upshaw. Loving grandmother of Nick, Peter, Stephanie and Christine Roto, and Alex and Arieana Upshaw. Mary was a loving sister to Joan (late Kelly). Sister-in-law of the late Tony, Wally and Rita. She was a loved aunt to many and a wonderful friend. She and Tom were members of St. Isaac Jogues Parish since 1955. Mary was a Girl Scout Leader, school newsletter editor and supporter of the parish in all its activities. She loved her alma mater's football team, the Northwestern Wildcats, and the Chicago Bears. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and adored spending time with her grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Funeral Monday, November 7 at 9:30 a.m. from Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 8025 W. Golf Road- Niles to St. Isaac Jogues Church. Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment All Saints. Memorials to Charity of One's Choice appreciated. Visitation Sunday 3-8 p.m.
