MANAWA - Albert O. Gehrke, 72, Rt. 1, Manawa, died Wednesday at Community Hospital, New London, following a short illness.
He was born in Town of Little Wolf on Jan. 17, 1895 and was married in Manawa, April 24, 1918 to Bessie Zemtle [sic].
Gehrke lived on a farm in the Manawa area all of his life. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Keith Gehrke, Manawa, and Malvern Zemtle [sic], Manawa; and five brothers, Richard and Emil, New London, Fred and Leonhard, Manawa, and Harry, King.
Services will be held at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manawa, Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday at the Cline and Hanson Funeral Home, Manawa.
Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery, Manawa.
