Mr. Edward V. Lowell of Buffalo
and Miss Leona H. Kimball of this
village, were united in marriage
yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock, at the
home of the bride's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Lew. Kimball, on Water street.
Rev. C. H. Dibble performed the
ceremony in the presence of the
immediate relatives of the contracting parties.
The groom is the eldest son of Rev.
and Mrs. C. G. Lowell, formerly of
Perry. The bride has been a resident
of Perry for a number of years and is
esteemed by a large circle of friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Lowell left last evening
for their home in Buffalo, with the
best wishes of many friends for a
happy and successful future. The
RECORD joins in congratulations and
good wishes.

Death of Mrs. Leona Lowell

Mrs. Leona Lowell, who for the
past seven years has been a severe
sufferer from dropsy, died on Tuesday
of last week at the home of her mother,
Mrs. Lew Kimball of Bradford
street.
The deceased was a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Llewellyn Kimball and was
born at Silver Springs on Nov. 9th,
1871. When she was about six years
of age her parents removed to Perry,
which has since been her home. She
was educated in Perry High School
and when she grew to womanhood
was married on June 16th, 1897. to
Edward V. Lowell, son of Rev. and
Mrs C. G. Lowell, former residents
of Perry.
Four years ago she entered a
Rochester hospital for an operation, which
afforded her some relief, but she was
an intense sufferer for several months
before death came to her relief. She
was a woman of many good qualities
and had numerous friends.
She is survived by her mother, also
by one brother, Frederick P. Kimball,
Esq., of Rochester, and two daughters
---Dorothy K. and Grace B., both of
this place.
Funeral services were held last Friday
afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home
of her mother, No. 6 Bradford street,
Rev. W. V. TaWinkel officiated,
assisted by Rev. C. H. Dibble.
Interment was in Hope Cemetery.
