Emily and Governor were married September 16, 1849 in Berlin, Holmes County, Ohio.
We have never been able to determine exactly who Emily's parents were. The family bible says that her mother's maiden name was Cunningham and that she was from an old Virginia family who moved from there to Illinois. One suspicion is that she was the sister of Christina Ann (Weaver) Williams who was the daughter of Peter and Eve Weaver. No records have confirmed or refuted this information so far.
