DALLASTOWN--Blaine T. Boyd, 77, went to be with the lord at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2007, from his home. He was the husband of Ruth N. (Klinedinst) Boyd, whom he married on February 19, 1977. He was born in Brogue, on December 15, 1929, the son of the late Gail F. (Mills) and Thomas Z. Boyd, Jr. He farmed all his life at Lock Port Farms and drove a school bus for the Red Lion Bus Company for over 25 years. He attended Red Lion Bible church for 20 years, was a member of AARP Red Lion #1773, Apple Hill Chairobics, a Life Member of New Bridgeville Fire Co., and a 1949 graduate of Lower Chanceford High School. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Joan Shirey of York, Carol Downes of York, Bonnie Francis, and Robin Pilli, both of Centerville, Md.; one son, Lester Downes of Centerville, Md.; seven grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Romaine Olewiler of Brogue; and Janet Tyson of Felton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Boyd. Viewing will be Monday, March 5, 2007, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Red Lion Bible Church, 105 Springvale Road, Red Lion. Service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the church, with his pastors, the Rev. Steven A. Schmuck and the Rev. Ronald B. Schmuck officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel U. M. Cemetery. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to American Lung Association, 1560 W. Market St., York, PA 17404; or to Bethel UM Cemetery Association, c/o Henry Tyson, 12319 Canning House Road, Felton, PA 17322.
