Port St. Lucie: Marie Alice Bellefleur-Barthole, 77, died July 10, 2013, at Port St. Lucie.

She was born in Port au Prince, Haiti, and was a resident of Port St. Lucie for seven years, coming from Spring Valley, N.Y.

She was the founder and executive director of House of Hope of Florida, which supports orphaned children in Haiti.

Survivors include her son, Frantz Benoit Belizaire of Kirkwood Voorhees, N.J.; sisters, Eugenie Bellefleur of Port St. Lucie and Merita Bellefleur of Paris, France; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emile Barthole.

Services: Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. July 19 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes — Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel in Port St. Lucie.

A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. July 20 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie.

Entombment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City.
