Davis of St. Charles, IL; brother of Byron of Jackson, MI; James Davis of Dunedin, FL; and Viola Dupee of Grand Blanc, MI; also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the H. P. Brandt Funeral Home, INC, 1032 Perry HWY, Perrysville on Tuesday afternoon and evening, where services will be held, Wed. morning at 10 o'clock.

Russell W. Davis, '27ed, one of the most popular coaches in Western Pennsylvania, has resigned from Shady Side Academy to take up a position with a defense plant.

He had been identified with the Acadmey athletics for over 16 years, serving as head basketball and baseball coach, and assistant football coach until last season when he became head football coach. Davis played an important part in the winning of six Inter-State Prep School League football and five basketball championships by Shady Side.

He is now assoiciated with Pittsburgh Screw and Bolt Company. Known to many as "Red." Davis was an all-around star athlete while on campus.
