"Josiah M. Berry, son of J.G. & Lov Berry was born January the 9th 1843" (Berry Family Bible - Births page) Also found in the household of "Jas. Berry", wife "Lovann", 1850 Blount Co., AL census.

"Joe M. Berry & Sarah E. Walker was married Sept 14th A.D. 1865." Berry Family Bible.

4) Florence Elephare Berry

According to his father's bible, he volunteered March 11, 1862. Served with Texas Troops with Capt. Bishop Mounted Cavalry. He used his own horse.

Dresden's Texas Cavalry, Company I, 19th Texas Cavalry Private, age 19. He was 6' 12" tall, had gray eyes, brown hair, light complexioned. He was elected corporal on October 19, 1862. He was a farmer.
