Josephine E. Hilton, 90, of Marinette, WI passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay. She was born on May 29, 1925, in Hancock, Mich., to George and Josephine Newhouse.

Josephine worked in the restaurant business, first for Alton Olsen and Reinke’s and finally Hilton Family Restaurant. After retiring from the restaurant, she volunteered at the Salvation Army in the food kitchen and pantry for many years. She loved to bake, and sent cookies to her grandchildren at Christmas.

Josephine is survived by four children: Harry Hilton Jr., Marcia Doxtater, Joy (Patricia) Grady-Hilton and Heidi Hilton; 28 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Hilton; three sons: George, Richard and John Hilton; and son-in-law, Archie Doxtater.

Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home from 4 until 6 p.m. today, Monday, April 25, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m., in the funeral home, with Major Carol Lemirand of the Salvation Army officiating.
Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
