Clara Mae Campbell, 90, died Friday, July 15, 2005 at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, Md. She was the wife of the late Edward Campbell for 42 years. Born in Luray, VA, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Racer. She and her husband worked as caterers in the family business, Campbells Catering in York until she retired in 1977. In her spare time she volunteered at the Salvation Army and at soup kitchens. She loved to read and spend time with her family. She is survived by three children, Louise Campbell of California, Lois Goodman and her husband Keith of Timonium, MD and Edward Campbell and his wife Benita of CO; three grandchildren, Michelle Hurley and her husband James, Mark Zimmerman and his wife Sandra and Melissa Flores and her husband Philip all residing in Maryland; and seven greatgrandchildren, Jamie Hurley, Jack Hurley, Zak Flores, Zoe Flores, Zeke Flores, Zia Flories and Hannah Zimmerman all residing in Maryland. She is also survived by a sister, Lois Shue of York. Graveside service Monday, August 15, 2005 at Mt. Rose Cemetery. [York Daily Record]
