Wayne L. "Leon" Wise, Sr., 72, of Manchester Township, died at 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2005, at his residence. He was the husband of Mary R. (Pfeiffer) Wise of York, to whom he was married for over 47 years. Born July 15, 1933, in Red Lion, he was a son of the late William H. and Blanche B. (Bisker) Wise. He retired from Stone Container, where he worked as a machine operator. He was a member of Springwood Chapel, York, and a US Army Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He loved cardinals and enjoyed collecting anything with the bird's likeness. In addition to his wife, Mr. Wise is survived by a son, Wayne L. Wise, Jr. of Red Lion; six daughters, Cindy Flinchbaugh of Windsor, Bonnie Shepherd of Red Lion, LeAnn Walker and Linda Wise, both of York, Lisa Abel of Mt. Wolf, and Ashley Althouse of Dover; eight grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; a brother, Clark Wise of York; and two sisters, Annabelle Diffenbaugh of Red Lion and Wanda Leona Stump of Dallastown. He was preceded in death by a son, Barry E. Wise. Funeral Wednesday at Springwood Chapel, York, his Pastor, the Rev. Edward J. Ross, officiating. Burial in Mt.
