Henry (Hank) Edward Abston, age 83, born May 17, 1925 in Harriman, quickly passed to his rest November 16, 2008 at his home in Pikeville.
He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and served in the U. S. navy for 21 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Hudson Abston, parents Fred and Anna Mae Abston; brothers Tom and Fred, Jr. Abston; sister Dorothy Park. He is survived by his children Linda (Tony) DeWind, Judy Rash, Lori (Jeff) Quick, all of Pikeville; Terry Wood (Jay) Fiance, Albany, GA; Chuck Abston, Boulder, CO; Dianne (Jim) Jeter, Panama City, FL; Crystal Alexander, Hendersonville, NC; Charmayne (Terry) Leard, Dallas, GA; Leallen McConnel, Chattanooga; Ramona Abston (Vincent), Dallas, TX; Kelli Abston, Petersburg, VA; sister Irene (Art) Umlauf, Douglasville, GA; brother J. W. Abston, Lakeland, FL; twenty grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Services will be Thursday at 1:00 pm CST in funeral home chapel with Pastor David Wendt and Pastor Barry Mallor officiating. Burial will be in Dodson Cemetery.
