John Cairns Passes Away Suddenly At His Home 'Saturday Evening' , John Cairns, aged 86 years eldest son of the late Joseph and Sarah Kuhn Cairns, died suddenly at the family home, 90 Rowland avenue, Saturday evening. Mr Cairns-has been in failing health for several , years but his condition was not ,considered as serious. Mr. Cairns was born in Mansfield, May 29, 1862 and spent his entire life in this community. For 43 years he was connected with the maintenance department of the Pennsylvania railroad, retiring a little over a year ago. He was a charter member of St. Mark's Lutheran church. He is survived by his wife, one son, Lee and one daughter Miss Arta Cairns. born of Mansfield. Four brothers, Frank, Samuel and Fred Cairns, of this city, and R. W. Cairns, of Beaver, Pa., three sisters, Mrs. Charles Vincent, Mrs. Elsie Boyce and Mrs. William Browneller, all of this vicinity, also survive. Private funeral services will be held from the family home, 80 Rowland avenue. Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. C. E. Moore, pastor of the St. Mark's Lutheran church, assisted by Rev. L. A. Sittler, will conduct the services. Burial will be I made in the Mansfield cemetery.
