Mrs. Verner passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in Lawton.
Jerri was born on September 16, 1931 in Greenwood, Arkansas to Tom and Ada (Bradley) Spearman. She grew up in Greenwood where she attended school. She lived in several states before settling in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1965. She married the love of her life, Don Verner on February 7, 1971 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Mr. Verner passed away in January of 2013. Jerri was a Licensed Massage Therapist having completed her training at the Anson School of Massage Therapy in the early 1980's. She owned and operated Jerri's Body Therapy for many years. Jerri wrote poetry and was a feisty little lady that was full of energy, love and laughter.
She is survived by her son, Nick Green, of California; her daughters and sons in law, Paula and Alfred Childers, of Nevada, Texas, Beryl Bazor, of Lawton, Oklahoma, Denise and Jeff Henderson, of Georgetown, Texas, Mary and Jim Keck, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Karen and Tony Scherf, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her brother, Lucky Spearman, of Greenwood, Arkansas; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; her daughter, Marie Green; and her brother, John Spearman
