Donald N. Parsons, 54, of Claridge, lost his courageous battle with cancer Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, in his home. He was born Feb. 13, 1958, in Greensburg, a son of the late Wilber N. and Sarah H. Brant Parsons. He was employed as a supervisor in quality control for Royal Windows in Delmont. He loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathleen (Wallace) Parsons; two daughters, Tammy L. Munn and husband, Mark, of Corry, Pa., and Wendy L. Dowdrick and husband, Nick, of Claridge; five grandchildren, Zachary, Neil, Alyssa, Noah and Isaiah; three brothers, Bill N. Parsons, of Penn, Robert J. Parsons, of Lexington, S.C., and John H. Parsons, of Punxsutawney; a stepbrother, Ernest N. Parsons, of Greensburg; and a sister, Cindy M. Dowdrick, of Sigel, Pa. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC, 3343 Route 130, Harrison City. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Nick Poole officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Penn Township.
