Walter "Roland" Ridgway, 66, of Fairfield Twp. died unexpectedly on Monday, July 15, 2013 after a brief stay at Capital Health System in Trenton.

Born in Bridgeton on December 21, 1946, he was the son of the late William "Billy" Ridgway and Anna Johnson Ridgway. He had been a lifetime resident of Fairfield Twp.

Our beloved brother provided 25 years of Service to Caesars Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. Prior to his employment at Caesars, he provided many years of Service to Julian's Construction Company in DE. A veteran of the United States Army, he served a 13 month tour of duty in Vietnam where he received many honors for his service.

He is survived by four brothers, William "Billy" Ridgway, James Ridgeway, Charles Ridgway and Albert Ridgway; two sisters, Patricia Hickman and V. Rosemary Capetillo; two brothers-in-law; Tomas Capetillo and Samuel Hickman and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, July 20th at 10 AM. Interment will take place at Fordville Memorial Park in Fairfield Twp. A visitation will be held on Friday evening, July 19th from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home and on Saturday morning from 9 AM to 10 AM prior to the services at the funeral home.
