March 2, 1918 ~ May 28, 1968

Jack J. Kellum, 52, of Brawley, Calif., and a former resident of Broken Bow, Okla., died recently in Scripps Clinic at La Jolla, Calif. Apparent cause of death was pneumonia.

Funeral services were Friday, June 7, at 3 p.m. in the First Southern Baptist church at Brawley with the Rev. S. A. Kopp, pastor, presiding. Interment followed in the Riverview Cemetery.

Frye Chapel, Brawley was in charge of arrangements.

Kellum was born on March 2, 1916, in Ringold, Okla., and married the former Ceola Harrison in Hugo, Okla. in 1936, they lived in Broken Bow until moving to Brawley in 1959. The Kellum residence is at 154 W. D. St.

Survivers include his widow of Brawley, four daughters, Mrs. Mona Brown, Mrs. Sue Westbrook and Mrs. Jackie Carlton, all of Brawley, and Phillip and Dwayne both at home; eight grandchildren;

Three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Cooper of Staton, Ore., Mrs. Mae Metts of Tehachapi, Calif., and Mrs. Ruth Pinkston, of Vallejo, Calif.; and four brothers, Roy of Lancaster, Calif., Johnny of Tahachapi, Calif., and Sam of Oakland, Ore., and Dave of Oklahoma City.
