Our beloved, John Tometaro Roderique, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 6, 2013.
John was born April 30, 1961 to John Hiroko Roderique (Wada ) in Leominster, MA.
John also known as John-John, My Johnny, Daddy, Poppi, and Johnny Boy by those who loved him dearly. When John was very young, his family moved to Roxbury, MA , a city that always held a special place in his heart.

John was educated in the Boston Public School system . Later on he attended and graduated from Job Corp. in Westover, MA , and Everest Institute in Everett MA, with high honors from both.

John was an avid reader and Jeopardy fan, but his real passion was food. John loved to eat! and he loved to prepare and share his dishes with good company. He was also a devoted Red Sox Fan.

John served his country as a member of the Army National Guard, receiving medals for Rifle M16 Sharpshooter and Hand Grenade expert. He spent 10 years working for The Marriot Hotel before changing career paths and working for Lahey Health and Behavioral Services.

John's greatest assets were his smile and his love for his family and friends.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife, Jerlyn Dowe Roderique; eight children, Jerome Perry, Jessica , John Jr., Justin and Janaisa Roderique; Hyannah Rontel , Azell Ambers, Asaad and Amina Dowe; ten grandchildren, Jaaliyah, Jakayla, John III, Justin, Abigail, Jakari, Jahlil, Lakari, Jerome Jr. and Larell Jr., one sister: Mona, three brothers, Tarique, Kareem and Kamal. Five aunts, Joanie, Diane, Barbara, Irene and Lorraine, one uncle Charlie, stepmother, Ernestine Johnson, special friendsAvis Perry, Kenny Williams and Terrance.
