Joseph T. La Manda Jr., 59, of Rensselaer, NY, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a long illness. He was the son of the late Joseph T. La Manda and Loraine Coy and the stepson of Stasia La Manda of Albany. Joe was retired as a self-employed laborer, working in the construction industry in the Capital District. He had also been a master mechanic and was a noted local drum musician. He had played the drums since childhood. Joe was a nutrition enthusiast who lived and studied good health. He enjoyed his strong Christian faith and played music and sang in local churches. Joe is the beloved father of Dawn Schipano of Clifton Park and her husband Samuel J. Schipano Sr.; cherished grandfather of Angelene Loraine Anast and Jesse Ray Underwood; brother of John La Manda of Albany, Mike La Manda of Greenville, Linda Pacquin of Deltona, Fla., Diane Voss of Clifton Park and the late Steven La Manda.
