Texan Drowns in Colorado
VALLECITO, Colo. (AP) – Bruce Nesbitt, 68, of Buchanan Dam, Texas, drowned yesterday while fishing in Vallecito Reservoir near this tiny southwestern Colorado community.
La Plata County Sheriff Walter Conrad said another fisherman reported seeing Nesbitt standing in his boat when he apparently slipped and tumbled into the water. He swam a short distance and then disappeared, Conrad added.
The body was recovered from the reservoir, about 25 miles northeast of Durango, a short time later.
