Mr. Wentz was born July 12, 1925 in Goodrich, N.D., the son of George and Katherine (Martin) Wentz. He began working for the Northern Pacific Railway in 1942.
He married Jeanne Grinuk Naze on July 22, 1967, in Jamestown. He retired as a B&B foreman in 1983 after 41 years of service. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles and the V.F.W. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and training hunting dogs.
He is survived by a son, Mike, Jamestown; a stepson, Randy (Cheryl) Naze, Minot, N.D.; a stepdaughter, Terri (Chris) Naze, Jamestown; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Kathleen; his parents; a sister, Elsie; and five brothers, Art, Alfred, Eddie, Tige and Harold.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with the Rev. Harlen Kaden officiating.
Visitation: none planned. Arrangements by Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
