Harry Ardanis "Jink" Smith was born on February 5, 1936. He was married to Brenda Snider. Together, they had Harry A. Smith Jr. Jink lost his battle to prostate cancer on February 21, 1990. He was survived by Brenda and Harry. Also his mother Ruby Hamilton Smith; 6 sisters and their husbands, Josephine "Sissie" and Guy Weeks, Shirley "Jeane" and Galen Howell, Lotus and Robert Sicky, Barbara and Jack Perdue, Dallas and James Akers, and Janice and Eddie Vanhozier; and three brothers and their wives, Stancil and Mary, Clinton and Ann, and Michael Smith. He was interned at Smith Cemetery in Norris Run, Virginia.
Jink was my husband's uncle. I never got to meet him, but his pictures show he was a very handsome man. Since he passed away, Harry has given him his first grandchild, Sydney. She is a beautiful bright eyed child that I am sure he would have loved.
