Funeral services for John G. Schwartz, 78 years old, who died yesterday at his home, 520 North Fulton avenue, will be held at his home at 2 P.M. Tuesday. The Rev. Otto F. P. Weinbach, pastor of St. Paul's German Evangelical Lutheran Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Violetville.
For the past 50 years Mr. Schwartz conducted a stall in Lexington Market. He was one of the pioneers in its development. Besides his widow, Mrs. Anna H. Schwartz, he is survived by a brother, Frederick Schwartz; a sister, Mrs. Caroline Mahle; three sons, John F. Schwartz, Walter Schwartz and George Schwartz; two daughters, Miss Anna D. Schwartz and Miss Edna F. Schwartz; four grandsons and a granddaughter.
