Neil H. Bingaman, 88, passed away at 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at York Hospital. He was the loving husband of Helen M. (Beckwith) Bingaman. The Bingaman's celebrated their 64 year wedding anniversary on July 4th. Funeral Monday, July 25, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, York, Rev. Donald B. Warner officiating. Burial in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Neil was born in Troxelville on August 16, 1916. He was the son of the late Nestor and Margaret (Herman) Bingaman. Mr. Bingaman was an inspector at Bowen McLaughlin in York for 21 years, until retiring on August 1, 1981. He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church for over 49 years, where he served on the church council. Neil also leaves a son, Robert Neil Bingaman of York; a daughter, Carol L. Bingaman of Dover; two granddaughters, Deborah Hoerner-Bingaman and Jessica Bingaman, both of York; two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Lacey Hoerner, both of York; a great-great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Hoerner of York; and a sister, Marie Bingaman Baier of Selinsgrove. Mr. Bingaman's loving family was by his side on his last earthly day. [York Daily Record]
