Lloyd R. Fair, 88, died Friday July 22, 2005, at Rest Haven in York. He was the husband of the late Helen I. (Mummert) Fair. Service Tuesday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, York, Rev. Bill Myers and Rev. Gary Firster officiating. Burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery with full military honors by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Fair was born in East Berlin on October 10, 1916, a son of the late Charles and Ruth (Sprenkle) Fair. He retired from York International and was a member of the York International Retirement Union. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1934 and served in the US Navy during WWII. Mr. Fair was also a member of Dover Bethany United Methodist Church, Hawk's Gunning Club, and the Senior Bowling team at Colonial Park North. He leaves a son, Jack E. Fair of Albuquerque, NM; a daughter, Jill Dean of Little River, SC; three grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Wayne Fair of York and Fred Fair of Dover; four sisters, Grace Gise of Philadelphia, Mary Boyer of East Berlin, Hilda Gise of York and Dorcas Jacobs of Georgia; and nieces and nephews.
