Brigid Ann Riley Kelleher was born February 25, 1965 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, the eighth of nine children of Thomas Norman Riley and Anne Roger "Nancy" Donnelly Riley. On her birthday in 1989, she married Sean F. Kelleher, the son of John and Carole Kelleher, in Cleveland. Sean and Brigid had three children: daughters Riley and Nora Kelleher and son Seamus Kelleher. About two months after giving birth to her third child, Brigid suddenly and unexpectedly collapsed into unconsciousness and died a few days later in the hospital at age 27. With the help of his brother-in-law James P. Riley and Jim's wife Patricia Kelly Riley, Sean raised his children alone for almost eight years. On October 28, 2000, he remarried, to Marta L. Liscynesky Kelleher, who had no birth children of her own but became a loving stepmother to Brigid's children. Like her mother and mother-in-law, Brigid is buried in Lakewood Park Cemetery in Rocky River, Cuyahoga County.
