Lucy Gwendolyn Cox Brunson, 82, passed away July 22, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes.

Lucy was born March 1, 1931, in Shelley, Idaho, to Orville Southerland Cox and Ruth Gertrude Christensen Cox. She graduated from Shelley High School.

Lucy married Clarence Alvin Brunson on November 11, 1955, in Shelley, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 6, 1999. Clarence passed away on October 12, 2010. Lucy was a homemaker and mother of nine children. She lived in Ammon for twenty years and Idaho Falls for thirty.

Lucy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a missionary at the Family History Center in Idaho Falls. She enjoyed spending time with her family as well as genealogy and camping.

Daughter, Coleen (Don) Goreé of Idaho Falls, Idaho;
Daughter Celia (Thomas) Beasley of Riverton, Wyoming;
Son, Christopher (Brandy) Brunson of Hillsboro, Oregon;
Daughter, Carolyn (Ted) Neal of Yorktown, Indiana;
56 grandchildren, 87 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren;
Brother, Orville C. (Ines) Cox of Shelley, Idaho;
Brother, Paul (Pat) Cox of Nampa, Idaho;
Brother, Roy (RaDean) Cox of Shelley, Idaho;
Brother Merrill (Vicki) Cox of Shelley, Idaho;
Sister, Eunice (Garn) Penfold of Moline, Illinois;
Sister, Emma Jean (Jay) Freeman of Mesa, Arizona;
Sister, Virginia (Scott) Walker of Henderson, Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her husband, brother Jerry Cox and two sisters Irene Stewart and Lawana LeBaron, grandsons Jory Al Brunson and Troy Mechling, and great grandsons Griffin Conkle and Tyler Benjamin Brunson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge. The family will visit with friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00-9:45 a.m. prior to services, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grove City Cemetery.
