One of the city's best known citizens, Thomas B. Gaffney, son of the late Thomas and Anne E. (Masterson) Gaffney, died at his home 8 Ingell Avenue this morning following an illness of about two weeks. He was a native of Taunton and was well known in business circles. At one time he operated Gaffney's Busy Corner Shoe Store and was also head of the Taunton Wholesale Millinery Company. He also operated the Star Theater in this city and was the present owner of the Casino Theater. He was a member of the Taunton planning Board. He was a former member of the Taunton Rotary Club and held membership in Taunton Lodge of Elks and Taunton Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by four sisters, Catherine T., Ann A., and Irene R. Gaffney, all of this city and Mrs. Stephen McCormick of Belmont.
