Mildred "Scotty" N. (Denues) Rohrbaugh, 82, died at 9:25 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2005, at Manor Care Health Services South. She was the wife of Burnell L. Rohrbaugh, with whom she celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary May 8th. Funeral Tuesday at St. Paul Evangelical Congregational Church, York, her pastor, Rev. Carlos Kelly, and her friend and former pastor, Rev. Kenneth M. Weaver, (Ret.) of Lancaster officiating. Burial in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Mrs. Rohrbaugh was born November 3, 1922, in York. She was a daughter of the late Bernard H. and Edith A. (Brenner) Denues. Mrs. Rohrbaugh was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul E.C. Church, where she taught Sunday School, directed the Senior and Children's Choirs, sang in various ladies trios, and helped organize and lead the Jubileer's, a senior citizens group. She was a graduate of William Penn High School, Class of 1941. Surviving, in addition to her husband, is a son, Pastor Daniel A. Rohrbaugh of York. She was the last of eight children. She was preceded in death by a twin brother, Richard Denues; three other brothers, William B. Denues, Clifton F. Denues, and George L. Denues; three sisters, Mary Denues, Beatrice D. Jensen, and Dorothy D. Kulp. [York Daily Record]
