Dorothy M. (Grove) Barshinger, 82, entered into rest unexpectedly at 6 a.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2005, at her residence, Dallastown. She was the wife of Morris Henry Barshinger, Sr., who entered into rest on September 7, 1982. Born on October 19, 1922, in York, she was the daughter of the late Samuel M. and Mabel I. (Arnold) Grove, Sr. She had been a sewing machine operator for 15 years with the former Renee's in Dallastown, and was a member of the Red Lion Senior Center. She is survived by four sons, Robert E. Barshinger and wife, Janeen of Dallastown, Morris H. Barshinger, Jr. and wife, Catherine of York, Thomas G. Barshinger and wife, Beth of Hellertown, and William R. Barshinger of Lancaster; one daughter, Deanna Barshinger and husband, Ed Newman of New Canton, VA; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; two sisters, Mary E. Eberly and Lilly M. Eberly, both of Dallastown; three brothers, Samuel M. Grove, Jr. and Arthur E. Grove, both of Red Lion, and Dennis R. Grove of York; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Danial Barshinger, in 1988. Personal eulogies will be shared by family members with the service and burial being private.
