Thanks goes out to fellow Contributor Sunny Gates (#48573488) for providing the following biographical sketch for John Milton Taylor:

"John Milton Taylor was a wholesale dry goods merchant in New York City. He was a striking looking man six feet and five inches tall, broad shouldered and very straight, always dressed in the height of fashion and an aristocrat in appearance, though liked by everybody he came in contact with. Polished in language, using the most perfect New England manner of speech. He was selected by a New York publishing house, to sit with five others, for an engraving, to be known as the most handsome men of that city. He died in New York City at a young age of 52 and was buried by the side of his young wife, in the cemetery at Bennington, New Hampshire." taken from the Memoirs of L. M. Bowers 1922-23, who was John Milton Taylor's nephew.

John Milton Taylor married his cousin Martha Ann Adams Dodge. John's mother Jane "Jenny" Dinsmore was the sister of Martha's mother Betsey Dinsmore."
