Janet Ann Birch was born on Aug. 30, 1939 to Norma and Gordon Yorks in Grand Rapids, Minn. She attended Grand Rapids High School and graduated in 1957. She worked for the radio station KOZY as a receptionist. She met Noble Birch and about three years later they were married on April 12, 1958. They lived in the Grand Rapids area and had four children: Kathy, Paul, Theresa and Karmyn. They later moved to Circle Pines and bought their first home and Peter and Todd were born. They lived there until Noble retired and they decided to move back to the country life and bought their new home in Pine City.

Janet enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to go camping, fishing, bowling and trying to get lucky at the casino. She also liked to spend time at senior dining and watching NASCAR and Survivor on TV.

Janet passed away at her home on Saturday, March 2, 2013 with her loving and devoted husband Noble and all of her children by her side.

She is survived by her husband Noble and children: Kathryn Birch, Paul Birch, Theresa Leavitt (Darryl), Karmyn Birch, Peter Birch (Judith) and Todd Birch (Alfredo); 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She also has three sisters, Romaine Walstad, Sharon Yorks and Geraldine Yorks. She was preceded in death by her parents.
