"Tomahawk, NC Feb. 7 - Weldon, the four year old child of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Cameron, caught fire on Friday about 11 o'clock while his mother had stepped out of the house to a neighbor's. The mother, when she heard the child's screams, rushed to his assistance, but all of his clothes had burned off and the child lived only about six hours.

Little Weldon was a bright boy. Dr. Sloan was sent for but the burn was so bad nothing could be done to save the boy. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Cameron extend sympathy in their bereavement.

They left here on the A. & Y. train for Spout Springs where their son was laid to rest at the family burying ground at Cameron Hill."
