Lavelle Huffty 10/18/22 ~ 12/22/03 Lavelle Huffty passed away peacefully on December 22, 2003 in Bountiful, Utah from complications following a stroke. He was born on October 18, 1922 in Kilbourne, Louisana to Lawrence and Alberta Huffty. He married Gelene Atkerson on November 26, 1948.He served in the Navy during World War II as a radio operator. Lavelle will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. He liked to camp and travel. The highlight of his day was to meet the boys at McDonalds. Lavelle is survived by his loving wife, Gelene; son, Elmer Huffty; daughter, Pat (Duane) Goodyear; grandchildren, Paige Huffty, Jim Huffty, Joby Lyn Fields, Terry (Brenda) Goodyear, Jason (Katie) Goodyear, Matt Goodyear and Mac and Lucy (special cousin and friend). He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James Elmer Huffty and sister-in-law Barbara Huffty. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 26, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stone Creek Ward, 1476 North 300 West, Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family my call from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park.
