He was born in Calhoun County, the son of the late Floyd and Della Carter Bailey. He was a driller in the oil and gas industry and a farmer. He was a member of Frozen Run Baptist Church, Shock.
Surviving are his wife, Beulah Brady Bailey; one sister, Doss Hurley of North Carolina; and one son-in-law, Kenny Fisher of Glenville.
He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Bailey, and one daughter, Linda Fisher.
Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, with Rev. Alva Lloyd officiating. Burial was in Bailey Family Cemetery, Nicut.
