Son of Hiland and Lois Percy; a painter, he died age 51.

Co. A, 2nd Vermont Infantry

Hiland Percey enlisted in Company A, Vermont 2nd Infantry Regiment on 20 Jun 1861 and mustered out on 29 Jun 1864.

In August 1866, in Providence, RI, Hiland Agustas Percey married Sarah Smith Perham, daughter of Eliab M. and Sarah A. Perham. They had at least three children in Worcester -- Maud, Lottie and William.

In June 1890, he was enumerated in the Veterans' Schedule in Bridgewater, MA, as "Highland A Percy, alias Hiland A Percy," who served in Co. A, 2nd Vermont Infantry, 1861 to 1864.

In March 1891 in Vermont, Hiland A. Percy was granted an invalid pension.

In January 1894, in Massachusetts, his widow, Sarah, was granted a pension as guardian to a minor child.

On 8 Aug 1897 in Worcester, his widow Sarah died.
