Obituary from Butte's Montana Standard 7/29/2005:

Memorial services for Frank Leonard Rosich will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2500 Grand Ave., Butte.
Frank died July 11 in Fresno, Calif.

He was born June 6, 1914, in Canon City, Colo., to Frank and Rosa Rosich. He had two younger brothers, Harold and Ed. The family moved to Butte in the early 1930s. As a young man he enjoyed working in his family's grocery business, playing accordion and learning about birds and wild flowers from his grandfather.

Frank married Ruth Lucille Hanson on April 27, 1940. This was a marriage that lasted more than 65 years. Together they raised three children, Frank Carl, Laurel Jean and Laurene Joan. In the 1950s Frank built the family home in Butte nearly 100 percent by himself. Frank was an iron worker for 38 years and belong to the Butte Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He was a champion of labor and love. He worked at manual labor his entire life. He worked with a vigor that was astonishing. And with that same vigor he cared for and helped other people always putting his family and loved ones first.

Frank was a walking historian about his family heritage and about the history of Butte. With this knowledge he could fascinate one for hours with true and unusual stories.

He lived nearly 62 years in Butte until moving one year ago to Fresno to be near his children.

Missing him greatly are his wife of 65 years, Ruth; son, Carl; daughters, Laurel Jean and Laurene; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Private family interment services will be held Friday in Sunset Memorial Park followed by the memorial service of remembrance at 11 a.m. in the Butte Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Memorials: charity of the donor's choice.
