Mr. Albert J. Schultz
Albert J. Schultz, son of Frederick and Christine Schultz, was born in Dundee, Monroe County, Michigan, on May 15th 1882.
On January 27th, 1902, he was united in marriage to Miss Jessie Osborne, of Cone, Michigan, where the young couple made their home for several years. One child, Leland L., born February 7th, 1904, came to bless this union.
About fifteen years ago they moved to Milan, where he held his residence at the time of his decease.
Several months ago he was stricken with an obscure and deep-seated infection of the lungs, and in spite of all that loving care and the most skilled medical and surgical attention could do he gradually grew worse, and passed out of this life in the University Hospital at Ann Arbor, on May 2nd, 1923.
Of a quiet and friendly disposition he attracted a host of friends, who deeply grieve and sympathize with the bereaved family in their untimely loss. He was a brave and patient sufferer, and tho' hopeful of life to the last, he was ready to go, and passed into the beyond at peace with God and man.
Besides the sorrowing widow and son, noted above, there remain of his immediate relatives, his mother and four brothers; Fred, William, Henry, and Charles; and one sister, Mrs. M. Hieser, of Rea, Michigan. His father and one brother, Herman, having preceded him in death.
The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon in the M. E. church. Rev. C. E. Edwards had charge of the service at the church, and the local lodge of Odd Fellows, of which he was a beloved member, performed the last sad rites of the interment ritual at the grave in Marble Park cemetery.
